Operation:

When products of consumption are sensed , the unit sounds with 80dB pulsating alarm until the air is cleared

Mute:

The loud alarm can be hushed by pressing te test button in the coer .It can be muted if the detector firt sounds an alarm

Testing:

Test by pressing the tes button on the cover and holding it down for a minimum of 1 seconds (or until the alarm sounds).The alarm sounds if the electronic circuitry ,horn, and battery are working.If no alarm sounds ,the unit has battery fault or other faults.DO NOT use an open flame to test your detector ,a s it may damage the alarm or ignite combustible materials ,causing a structure fire

Mounting:

Prior to intalling smoke detector , please check the smoke detector as follows .press the test button for 1 second , then alarm sounds.if you dont hear the sound -do not use the detector.

1.screws the backplate to the ceiling or wall with the included screws

2. allgning the two notches on the back of your detector with the ttabs on the back plate .holding your detector against the back plate ant turn it clockwise to fix it in the backplate
